I’m very proud to have been lead/main video editor of our documentary, At What Cost? The Legacy of Florence Girard. With two weeks of editing on Premiere Pro, creating graphics, selecting soundtracks and participating in meetings, I’m so honoured to share such an impactful story. This is a story about a Florence Girard, a woman with Down syndrome who died from starvation and malnutrition at the hands of her caretaker. The caretaker was contracted through Kinsight and Community Living BC (CLBC). This story addresses the long lasting impacts of disability healthcare, but at the cost of a sister, a daughter and a friend.
